What retro does
retro reddit redirect converts top-level subreddit.reddit.com links into https://www.reddit.com/r/subreddit links. Chrome applies a declarative redirect rule on your device. The extension does not collect, log, or transmit your browsing history, page content, or Reddit account information.
Your settings
Your exception list is saved with Chrome's sync storage. If Chrome synchronization is enabled, Google may synchronize those settings across your signed-in browsers under Google's privacy policy. No settings are sent to idiom.ltd. Existing exceptions from earlier extension versions are preserved.
Permissions
Reddit host access and declarativeNetRequestWithHostAccess allow Chrome to redirect matching Reddit URLs. The storage permission saves your exceptions. There are no content scripts, remote executable code, advertising, analytics, or developer-operated extension backend.
Other services
After a redirect, Reddit handles your visit according to its own privacy policy. The public retro website is served by Cloudflare, which processes normal web-request information to deliver and secure the site. This website has no analytics scripts or tracking cookies.
Your control
Open the extension's settings to add or remove exceptions. Disable or remove the extension in Chrome to stop its redirects. Removing an exception updates the synced preference list.
Limited Use
Information is used only to provide retro's single-purpose URL redirection and settings. It is not sold or used for advertising, creditworthiness, or unrelated purposes. This follows the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
